Our approach
ProudGround respects your privacy. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). We only collect what we need to run our business and look after you.
What we collect
Name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing address, order history, messages you send us, and basic device and browsing information collected through cookies and similar technologies. We do not see or store your full card details; payments are processed securely by Shopify and its payment providers.
How we use it
To process, roast, pack and deliver your orders; to provide customer service; to send updates about your order; to send marketing emails if you have opted in; to prevent fraud; to improve our website and products; and to meet our legal obligations.
Who we share it with
We share only what is needed with trusted service providers who help us operate, including our e-commerce platform (Shopify), payment processors, our roasting and fulfilment partner, delivery carriers, and email and analytics providers. Some of these providers may store information outside Australia, including in the United States and Canada. We do not sell your personal information.
Marketing
We will only send marketing emails if you have agreed to receive them, in line with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember preferences and understand how the site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the site, including the cart, may stop working.
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. No online service is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Access, correction and complaints
You can ask to access or correct the personal information we hold about you, or make a privacy complaint, by emailing ProudGroundCoffee@outlook.com. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
